Something Fishy is the name we’ve chosen for our Junior High School  youth program. Christians in the early church often identified themselves as followers of Jesus by drawing a fish. Why a Fish? The letters in the greek word for fish are the first letters in the confession, “Jesus Christ, son of God, Savior”. Like these early Christians, we’re learning how to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

We gather together on Wednesday evenings to hang-out, play games, learn a little from God’s Word, and pray for and support one another. Some of us begin the evening by going to the Family Night Dinner in Fellowship Hall and then taking off for our room to hang out.

In addition to our weekly meetings, our leaders, Greg Kelley and Ric & Diane Traver, plan special events in order for us to get together and just have a good time. You’ll see some of those planned activities to the left.

Other Extra special events are our annual Winter Retreat Weekend, and our summer weekly activities. If you’re interested in hanging out with kids your own age, building quality friendships, and learning about God in a positive environment, we think Something Fishy’s for you.
